UCES Counseling
My name is Mandi MacDonald and I am your school counselor. This is my 19th year at Union City Elementary and I love being a Charger! I am dedicated to supporting students' academic, social/emotional, and career and college development. I am passionate about fostering a positive school climate where all students feel seen, heard, and valued. Union City's school counseling program will provide a variety of services throughout the school year for students, parents, and families in order to support growth. These services include:

Classroom Lessons
Second Step is a social-emotional learning curriculum delivered to all students through classroom guidance lessons conducted by the school counselor. Second Step is designed to build a foundation of social-emotional skills such as empathy, emotion management, decision making and problem solving to increase student's success in schools and prepare them to become responsible citizens.
